A WOMAN’S VOICE — My Own Voice
My daughter recently attended a conference in L.A. She was so impressed with the content of the speeches that she could hardly wait to share what she had learned with me. What she actually succeeded in doing was to inspire me to find my own voice on my blog and to share my thoughts with you. This blog will be short and hopefully sweet. Blogging is a very new experience to me but then so is becoming an author at this stage of life! I’m living proof that you actually can teach an old dog new tricks.
The main theme of the conference that my daughter attended was about women having the desire to find their voices. It was about seeking the opportunity and finding the courage to express their opinions in everyday living. It was also about craving to make a difference in this troubled world we call home. Wouldn’t it be great if, when we eventually reflect on our life accomplishments, we can recognize the good that needed to be done and know we have personally contributed to it?
Have you found your voice yet? And if so…what does it have to say?

Hi Dolores,
Have I found my voice? I think so, though it took awhile and a lot of pondering. The search has involved Toastmaster speeches, other presentations, and of course writing: articles, poetry, devotionals, a manuscript that’s still looking for a home, and also my blog.

Dolores it was through losing my voice (singing voice that is), that I found my voice as a writer. I love to encourage people and see them grow in the Lord, in their writing (if they are writers), their ministries and especially in their faith. Where the Lord takes me in this ministry of encouragement is something I look forward to each day.

Dolores, what a pretty blog! Interesting challenge, too. I have to think on this. Have I found my voice? Maybe. What do I have to say? Hmmm…
